Colorado: IED Discovered Near Grocery Store, 1 Arrested
On the evening of 14 March 2024, Parker Police Department (PPD) officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle near a grocery store. The investigation led to an arrest and a report of a suspicious device near the same grocery store. The PPD called in the Douglas County Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit for assistance. Bomb technicians examined the suspicious device, shown in an x-ray and picture as a tube wrapped in tape with internal fragmentation and possessing a green fuse, and confirmed that it was a viable IED. The device was removed from the scene and rendered safe.
