On 27 September 2024, a 65-year-old man drove up to a traffic checkpoint outside a Trump campaign rally in Walker and held up a bottle to City of Walker Police Department officers, claiming that it was a C4 explosive. The suspect then sped past the checkpoint and ignored police commands to stop until he reached a parking area, where he began to throw bags of fertilizer out of his vehicle to make it appear as though he was in possession of explosives. The suspect was arrested, and a search of his vehicle did not result in the discovery of any explosives.

On 26 September 2024, Pocatello Police Department (PPD) officers responded to a residence on the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue in Pocatello after a contractor working in the home observed possible explosive devices in a cardboard box and multiple firearms. PPD officers examined the explosive devices, described as 15 to 20 pipe bombs constructed with “rigid pipes, 6 to 7 inches long, with end caps at both ends, and a fuse protruding from one end.” The Idaho Falls Police Bomb Squad was called to assist in handling the IEDs. No additional IED details were released.

On 2 October 2024, at approximately 0830 hours local time, Emeryville Police Department officers responded to the 1400 block of 67th Street in Emeryville after a suspicious device was discovered near the roll-up door of a business. Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians responded to assist, examined the device, and used a bomb disposal robot to drop an explosive charge near the device, disposing of it. The debris were sent out for further examination. The investigation is ongoing. 
 

On 23 September 2024, at approximately 0100 hours local time, a commercial explosive device described as being “industrially manufactured” functioned between two public safety vehicles parked on De los Deportes Avenue outside of a concert at a national fair in Zacatecas. Local police and civil protection officers searched under cars in the area and discovered three more explosive devices that had not been functioned. The devices were removed, and the military took possession of them. Fragmentation from the explosion injured 14 people, including 3 state police officers.

On 22 September 2024, at approximately 1030 hours local time, York County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an apartment complex located off South Carolina Highway 274 in Lake Wylie for reports of a man vandalizing several apartment walls and cars with graffiti. Deputies discovered a suspicious device that had been unsuccessfully used to start a fire on the porch of one of the apartments. After arresting the 57-year-old man, deputies discovered the suspect’s car was rigged with a suspicious device.
