Apache Junction: On 10 December 2025, in the afternoon, Apache Junction Police responded to a report of a distressed individual in crisis at an addiction treatment center in Apache Junction. After making contact and successfully de-escalating the situation, the individual disclosed the presence of dynamite in his vehicle. Mesa Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit was called to manage the explosives, which they removed safely. The subject was transported to a crisis care facility.

Salem: On 22 December 2025, a 42-year-old male suspect was arrested in his residence after a search of his Salem apartment. Investigators found illegal gun modifiers and bomb-making materials—including more than three dozen chemical materials, fuels and oxidizers, including flash powder. Prosecutors say the materials, either alone or in combination, could be used to make bombs or other chemical devices.

Dallas: On 22 December 2025, a 21-year-old male suspect was arrested at his home in Midlothian, after he met at a Dallas park and handed a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) undercover agent, whom he believed to be an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) supporter, several explosive components for building bombs. The suspect explained to the agent how to mix the ingredients and surround them with nails, and he offered to send the undercover agent an instructional bomb-building video. Law enforcement agents arrested the suspect shortly after he left the meeting.

Duluth: On 12 December 2025, at approximately 0840 local time, Duluth Police received a report of a possible explosive device—a bag initially believed to contain dynamite—at a substance use treatment facility. A bomb squad responded to the scene in the Endion neighborhood, and clients and staff were relocated to another secure location.  At 1145 local time, leaders with the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment (CADT) stated the possible explosive device was among a client’s personal belongings, who was unaware of its presence and had no intent to harm.

Williamsport: On 25 November 2025, at approximately 1129 local time, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated inside a dorm room at Pennsylvania College of Technology prompting a response by Penn College Police, Williamsport Bureau of Police and Fire, and the FBI. The device was initiated by a 19-year-old male suspect, who claimed he lit the fuse unintentionally but was unable to put it out. The suspect reported the device was built from dismantled fireworks, duct tape, and zip ties that were crushed with a hammer and repackaged.
