Michigan: Suspect Faces Charges Related to Possession of Molotov cocktails
On 16 October 2025, Michigan State Police (MSP) pulled over a vehicle northbound on US-131 and Hall Street in Kent County for operating an unregistered vehicle and found four Molotov cocktails in the 52-year-old male suspect’s trunk. All four jars had strips of cloth on the outside of the jars, held by elastic bands, which created an improvised Molotov cocktail per the news report. As reported, the liquid was tested, and was positive for gasoline and ethanol, which are flammable, incendiary substances. MSP arrested the suspect on charges of preparation to burn property.
