On April 4, 2025, at approximately 2100 hours, Berea police conducted a routine traffic stop that resulted in the discovery of a loaded weapon, drugs and suspected homemade explosives. The devices were inside a white box and were described as "two cylindrical devices with green fuses." The suspect was arrested and faces a series of felony charges, including drug possession, having weapons under disability and possession of a dangerous ordnance. Police officers in the video can be heard discussing who will transport the explosive devices.

On April 9, 2025, Madison County Sheriff's Office detectives executed a search warrant in the 10000 block of Lower Marine Road as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of burglaries. During the search, authorities discovered an explosive device, prompting a response from the Illinois Secretary of State Bomb Squad, the ATF, and the FBI. Officials assured residents that there is no ongoing safety risk. The investigation remains active as law enforcement continues to work with federal agencies.

On April 10, 2025, at approximately 0300 hours local time, a Mount Clemens family narrowly escaped harm after a teenager allegedly broke into their home and detonated an explosive device. Seven people, including three infants, managed to escape as the fire spread rapidly, causing extensive damage. The suspect, reportedly upset after being rejected by a female resident, was arrested five days later. Prosecutors are considering charging him as an adult.

On April 14, 2025, a suspect was charged with arson after a Molotov cocktail attack on the governor's residence in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The attack caused significant damage to the house. The Harrisburg Fire Chief stated that a closed stairwell door helped to contain the flames and provided more time for Governor Josh Shapiro and his family to evacuate. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the attack. 

On April 14, 2025, in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, multiple officers from the Summit Township Police Department and Somerset County Probation office executed a search warrant on Petenbrink Road and arrested a suspect who was hiding in the basement of the residence. During the search, officers discovered numerous drugs, a firearm, and homemade explosives. Charges are pending against the suspect and other occupants of the house. No additional information about the explosives was made available at this time.
